I studied mechanical and process engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Konstanz and spent one semester on a scholarship in Nanjing, China. I was awarded the Alfred Wachtel Prize of the University of Applied Sciences Konstanz for outstanding achievements in 1991. After successfully completing my studies, I worked for one year as a visiting lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic. There, in addition to teaching, I was also responsible as an advisor for the development of the dual study program. Afterwards I started my professional career as an engineer in a DAX enterprise in Munich.
Today, I have 27 years of professional experience in a major global company, including 10 years as a project manager with construction site experience and over 10 years as a department manager or division manager with personnel responsibility. My management experience includes leading international project teams as well as disciplinary leadership and training of project managers, experts and engineers.
I spent one year with my family in Philadelphia-PA, USA and led the development of an engineering subsidiary.
By taking on leadership roles early on, I soon discovered my talent for being very empathetic with people. I developed this skill through my training as a personal coach and business facilitator. It is a matter of my heart and it fills me with joy to support individuals in their personal development and to accompany them in fulfilling their tasks in an easier way, to discover and use their potentials and to lead them into their true mission in life.
I have been married to my wonderful wife Bettina for over 29 years and have two grown-up sons in college. The compatibility of family, work and leisure is very important to me. My highest good is my health and my family. I spend my free time in many diverse ways. In my various leisure activities I strengthen my personality and live my values:
- Guitar: creativity, harmony and discipline
- Sports: fitness, respect and fairness
- Travel: Openness to the world, inspiration and tolerance
- Meditation: inner peace, balance, intuition, mindfulness
